DEGERenergie is expanding its position as the global market leader: Worldwide demand for MLD tracking systems from Germany

DEGERenergie concludes the first half of 2011 on a high note: In June, the company from Horb reached the 45,000 mark in terms of delivered systems. Michael Heck, Vice President Marketing & Sales at DEGERenergie: „At the moment, there are two parallel developments on the world market that are strengthening the solar industry. First, the discussion about future energy supply that has never been stronger than today and shift towards renewable energies that is connected with it. Second, the ever rising energy prices. The combination of both leads to an increasing interest in solar technology from home owners, companies, governments, cities and investors.“

According to Michael Heck, DEGERenergie additionally profits from a third development in the solar market: „In the industry, word has spread that MLD technology from Horb not only generates the highest yield and therefore the fastest profits, but is also highly reliable.“

All these factors contribute to the fact that DEGERenergie has a very positive view on the global market for MLD tracking systems and is optimistic about the future, Michael Heck explains. „Since the beginning of the year, we are observing an increasing trend towards self supply in Germany. This refers to the combination of MLD tracking with modern storage technologies. Thanks to this combination, private homes, companies or even entire communities can be independent from the development of energy prices and energy suppliers. We are convinced that, in the medium term, this development will be similar in other countries and that this concept will finally be applied worldwide.“

DEGERenergie was founded in 1999 by Artur Deger and today is the world market leader in solar tracking systems. Worldwide, approximately 45,000 DEGERenergie systems have been installed in over 40 countries. The company is represented in Spain, Greece and North America with its own subsidiaries and cooperates with local distribution and service partners in many countries across the world. The patented DEGERenergie Maximum Light Detection (MLD) technology makes it possible to improve the energy yield of solar power plants by up to 45 percent compared to rigid systems.

DEGERenergie is the leading manufacturer with the world“s largest product range of single and dual-axis solar tracking systems. The company“s market position is based on the unique patented Maximum Light Detection (MLD) technology developed by Artur Deger, which makes it possible to maximize the yield of solar power plants with an „intelligent“ control. With the DEGERconecter, the solar modules are thus always aligned according to the brightest position in the sky with the highest energy yield. This way, the overall energy yield of solar power plants with MLD tracking is up to 45 percent higher than that of rigid systems and this difference is even more pronounced for peaks. With more than 45,000 systems installed in more than 40 countries, DEGERenergie is the global technological market leader. The company offers its customers all product related solutions – from the development and planning, production and sales to maintenance and service.

In its headquarters in Horb (Germany), its subsidiaries and supplier companies, DEGERenergie is currently employing a staff of nearly 400. The company was founded in 1999 and in 2001 won the Inventor Award of the German state of Baden-Württemberg for the MLD control module DEGERconecter.
